Oh, hullo!

THE ABOUT ME BIT

I’m an illustrator, based in the UK, with a passion for environmental issues. My work is a celebration of colour and form with a lorry load of character thrown in. When I was a child I found inspiration everywhere I looked, especially in nature, and ideas for books and characters would cascade out of my head. Thankfully, this is still the case today. 

My artworking process consists of sketching initial ideas and then digitising them, using a collage of digitally drawn shapes and hand-made textures. My main aim is to keep my work feeling hand-crafted, whilst giving a nod to my graphic and print design background.

When I’m not illustrating I spend my days cuddling my kids, walking in the woods, adoring mid-century design, eating chocolate, sniffing books and laughing at my ridiculous cat.

THE WORK BIT

I’m actively looking for book and editorial work, as well as product and private commissions, so please drop me a line if you’re interested in working with me.

Past projects includes imagery for a journal, illustrated graphics for small businesses, a clothing collaboration with Fat Face, private commissions for childrens bedrooms and illustrations for my own range of greetings cards and gifts. You can see a selection of my collaborations here.
